The Conneely Learning Group, under the direction of Shelby Conneely, provides a range of ABA services and resources for children
with special needs. Programming is offered for individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), behavioral challenges, and developmental delays ranging in age from 24 months to 18 years of age.
Shelby holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from Columbia University with a concentration in Behavioral Disorders. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of New York. She has worked with children and adolescents with autism and related disorders for more than 24 years, bringing her practice to home, school, and community settings to best meet the needs of the children and families she serves.
For more than 10 years, Shelby served on the Human Rights Committee (HRC) for Alpine Learning Group, where she reviewed behavior management plans for students with ASD. Her particular areas of interest are the effective use of data collection in the inclusion of students with typical peers, developing independent play skills, and parent training in the home and community setting.
Shelby has presented at numerous conferences in the areas of autism and ABA and has taught graduate level courses in ABA at Long Island University (LIU) and served as a visiting lecturer at numerous colleges such as Bank Street College, The Westchester Graduate Campus of LIU, and Columbia University in New York City.
